Configure Update Agent Settings

In the Consola de administrador do Windows Intune™, you can use the Policy workspace to configure policies that manage settings for updates on managed computers. You can specify how frequently Windows Intune checks for new updates, how soon updates are installed after they are downloaded, and whether users are prompted for updates to be installed or if updates are installed automatically. You can also specify alternative instructions if a user delays the installation of an update, and follow-up instructions after an update is installed.

Windows Intune includes a template with policy setting descriptions and recommendations for managing updates. You can create a policy that is based on this template and deploy the new policy immediately or save it so that you can make additional changes before you deploy it to managed computers. The following procedure describes how to access the template for creating an update policy.

To configure update agent settings

  1. Open the Consola de administrador do Windows Intune.

  2. In the workspace shortcuts pane, click the Policy icon.

  3. On the Policy Overview page, under Tasks, click Create new Policy.

  4. In the Create a New Policy dialog box, under Template Name, select Windows Intune Agent Settings, and then click Create Policy.

  5. In the General section, enter a name and description for your new policy, and then in the left column, click Updates.

  6. In the Updates section of the Create Policy pane, specify the policy settings, and then click Save Policy, or click Cancel if you decide to discard this new policy.

  7. In the Deploy Policy dialog box, select to either deploy this policy immediately or wait until later.

  8. If you click Yes, then in the Manage Deployment dialog box, select the check boxes that correspond to the computer groups to which you want to deploy this policy.

For detailed information about Updates policy settings, see the “Update Policy Settings” section in Windows Intune Agent Policy Settings.
