How to Add a Local Replica of the SCHEDULE FREE BUSY Public Folder

This topic explains how to create a local replica of the Microsoft® Exchange Server 2003 SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY public folder. This process is necessary only if your environment has multiple servers running Exchange Server 2003. If your environment uses only one server running Exchange Server 2003, you can skip this procedure.

To add a local replica of the SCHEDULE FREE BUSY public folder

  1. On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, click System Manager, and then expand Folders.

  2. Expand Public Folders.

If you do not see the SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY public folder, right-click Public Folders, and then click View System Folders.

  3. Expand SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY, right-click the public folder that refers to your administrative group that contains the Exchange server running Calendar Connector (for example, EX:/o=Contoso/ou=First Administrative Group), and then click Properties.

  4. On the Replication tab, click Add.

  5. On the Select a Public Store page, select the server running Exchange Server 2003 with Calendar Connector, and then click OK.

  6. On the Public folder replication interval list, select Always Run. This setting causes replication to occur whenever there is a change in free/busy information. Click OK.
