Description
The Add-CMAppv5XDeploymentType cmdlet adds a Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) 5X deployment type to an application.
Note
Run Configuration Manager cmdlets from the Configuration Manager site drive, for example PS XYZ:\>. For more information, see getting started.
Examples
Example 1: Add an App-V 5X deployment type
PS XYZ:\>Add-CMAppv5XDeploymentType -ApplicationName "testApp" -ContentLocation "\\Server1\ResourcesApplications\Appv5x\BasicVApp\BasicVApp.appv" -DeploymentTypeName "Appv5X"
This command adds an App-V 5X deployment type to the application named testApp.
Example 2: Add an App-V 5X deployment type by using the pipeline
PS XYZ:\> Get-CMApplication -Name "testApp" | Add-CMAppv5XDeploymentType -ContentLocation "\\Server1\ResourcesApplications\Appv5x\BasicVApp\BasicVApp.appv" -DeploymentTypeName "Appv5X"
This command gets the application object named testApp and uses the pipeline operator to pass the object to Add-CMAppV5XDeploymentType, which adds an App-V 5X deployment type to the application.
Parameters
Adds an array of languages that this deployment type supports. Provide the languages in the "languagecode2-country" or "languagecode2" format, for example: en, en-US, ja-JP, zh-CN.
