組 SchemeSettingElementCollection 態檔中的 類別和 < schemeSettings > 區段看起來很泛型，表示應用程式可以為任何配置指定任何 System.GenericUriParserOptions 列舉值。 事實上，只 GenericUriParserOptions.DontUnescapePathDotsAndSlashes 支援 HTTP 和 HTTPS 配置的旗標。 其他所有設定都會被略過。

根據預設，類別在執行 System.Uri 路徑壓縮之前，會取消逸出百分比編碼路徑分隔符號。 這已實作為針對攻擊的安全性機制，如下所示：
