當 ListView 按一下範本中的 InsertItemTemplate [插入] 按鈕，並在控制項更新資料來源上的記錄之後 ListView ，控制項就會引發 ItemInserted 事件。 (Insert 按鈕是一個按鈕，其 CommandName 屬性設定為「Insert」。) 事件 ItemInserted 可讓您執行自訂動作，例如從資料庫中擷取插入專案的自動產生值。

ListViewInsertedEventArgs物件會傳遞至事件處理方法，可讓您判斷插入的專案數目，以及可能發生的任何例外狀況。若要判斷插入作業所影響的專案數，請使用 AffectedRows 屬性。 Exception使用屬性來判斷是否發生例外狀況。您也可以藉由設定 ExceptionHandled 屬性，指出例外狀況是否在事件處理方法中處理。如果您必須存取已傳送至資料來源之插入專案的域值，請使用 Values 屬性。

根據預設， ListView 控制項會在 InsertItemTemplate 插入作業之後清除範本，讓使用者新增要插入之專案的值。如果在插入作業期間發生例外狀況，您可以將屬性設定 KeepInInsertMode 為 true ，讓控制項保持 ListView 插入模式。這會將範本重新系結 InsertItemTemplate 至先前嘗試插入專案的值。
