當 ListView 呼叫方法或按一下專案的 [更新] 按鈕時，但在控制項更新專案之前 ListView ，控制項會引發 ItemUpdating 事件 UpdateItem 。 ([更新] 按鈕是屬性設定為「Update」的按鈕 CommandName 。) 這可讓您提供事件處理方法，在發生此事件時執行自訂常式，例如取消更新作業。

ListViewUpdateEventArgs物件會傳遞至事件處理方法。此物件可讓您判斷目前專案的索引，並指定應該取消更新作業。若要取消更新作業，請將 Cancel 物件的屬性 ListViewUpdateEventArgs 設定為 true 。您也可以在值傳遞至資料來源之前，先使用 Keys 、 OldValues 和 NewValues 集合。使用這些集合的一般方式是先驗證或 HTML 編碼使用者提供的值，再將這些值儲存在資料來源中。這有助於防止腳本插入式攻擊。
