Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Standard Edition CAL
Standard Edition 在單一電腦上提供所有 IM、顯示狀態、會議元件和資料儲存等功能。下列為 Standard Edition 通話功能：
- 基本的電腦對電腦通話：撥打、接聽、保留、擷取和結束通話。
- 可接收會議邀請，但不能設定會議。
由於 Standard Edition Server 意味著單一故障點，如果您的部署需要高可用性且重要性很高，我們不建議使用此版本。在上述情況中，您必須使用 Enterprise Edition。
Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Enterprise Edition CAL
Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Enterprise Edition 的架構包含多部 Enterprise Edition Server 與專屬的後端資料庫伺服器，如此可降低單點失敗的影響。下列為 Enterprise Edition 通話功能：
- 所有 Standard Edition 通話功能。
- 進階的通話功能：轉接、轉向和轉送電話。
- 支援電話語音裝置。
- 允許排程和啟動多方會議。
遠端呼叫控制 (RCC) 開始是 Live Communications Server 2005 的功能，一直到 Office Communications Server 2007 R2 都支援此功能。RCC 讓 Office Communicator 2007 R2 能控制使用者的 PBX 電話線路，並根據其電話狀態來表示他們的目前狀態。使用者可以使用 Office Communicator 2007 R2 來接聽其 PBX 電話，並將其目前狀態更新為「電話中」。
