PowerPivot 元件與工具

PowerPivot 是指應用程式與服務的集合，它們會針對使用 Excel 和 SharePoint 建立及共用商務智慧，提供端對端的解決方案。與其他 SQL Server 元件相較之下，PowerPivot 資料不會使用您用來建立其他 SQL Server 或 Analysis Services 資料來源的相同工具和應用程式來建立、檢視或管理。本主題描述您搭配 PowerPivot 資料使用的工具和應用程式。

若要建立 PowerPivot 資料，您必須使用 PowerPivot for Excel。PowerPivot for Excel 是 Excel 2010 的增益集，可用來組合 Excel 活頁簿內部的 PowerPivot 資料。它是唯一用來建立或修改 PowerPivot 資料的用戶端應用程式。Business Intelligence Development Studio 之類的其他撰寫工具，則無法用來建立或修改 PowerPivot 資料。

系統管理永遠是透過 SharePoint 2010 管理中心進行。雖然您可以使用 SQL Server Management Studio 檢視或確認唯讀的 PowerPivot 資料來源是否在 Analysis Services 伺服器執行個體上執行，但是您無法從 Management Studio 修改或管理 PowerPivot 資料。相同的限制適用於 SQL Server 組態管理員。您可以使用它來檢視服務屬性，但是您絕不會用它來修改伺服器狀態或變更帳戶資訊。所有設定和管理都必須透過管理中心完成，讓服務和應用程式維持同步。

PowerPivot 資料的檢視器應用程式包括 Excel 2010、SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services 報表，或指向 SharePoint 2010 伺服器上發行之 PowerPivot 活頁簿的瀏覽器 (伺服器上必須有 PowerPivot for SharePoint)。在 SharePoint 上啟用 Excel Services 時，使用者可以在瀏覽器視窗中檢視活頁簿並與之互動，而不需要額外的用戶端軟體。

如果您要將包含 PowerPivot 資料的 Excel 活頁簿發行到 SharePoint 文件庫，當您想要從 SharePoint 網站檢視活頁簿時，您必須擁有 PowerPivot for SharePoint。雖然 PowerPivot 資料在 Excel 中是以視覺化方式呈現，其實在內部，資料是由 PowerPivot 系統服務從活頁簿擷取的 Analysis Services 多維度資料。該資料是由 Analysis Services 伺服器執行個體載入伺服器記憶體中，以供在伺服陣列中快速進行資料分析。
