由於惡意軟體會持續發展，因此 Endpoint Protection 依賴最新的定義檔來判斷嘗試在電腦上安裝、執行或變更設定的軟體是否為潛在有害或惡意軟體。Endpoint Protection 會自動更新您電腦上的病毒及間諜軟體定義檔。 如果定義檔已經超過七天未更新 (例如，如果一星期未開啟電腦)，Endpoint Protection 就會通知您定義檔已過期。
