深度緩衝區 (或稱 z 緩衝區) 儲存深度資訊來控制所呈現而不是隱藏的多邊形區域。A depth buffer, or z-buffer, stores depth information to control which areas of polygons are rendered rather than hidden from view.

樣板緩衝區Stencil buffers

樣板緩衝區用於影像中遮罩像素,製作特殊效果。A stencil buffer is used to mask pixels in an image, to produce special effects. 遮罩控制是否繪製像素。The mask controls whether the pixel is drawn or not. 這些特殊效果包含組合、印花、溶解、淡化、撥動、外框及剪影,以及雙面樣板。These special effects include compositing; decaling; dissolves, fades, and swipes; outlines and silhouettes; and two-sided stencil.
