Hi All,

for Azure AD Application Proxy, under the Connector event Viewer section, I can see an event: as below:

"Microsoft AAD Application Proxy Connector's inactive connection detection mechanism has identified inactive connections, number of inactive connections: 4."

Any idea what is about? I mean is it something to worry about from the Connector's end? or is it from the Applications end which are configured for Azure app proxy?

Thank you

    Hi @AJAY PRAJAPATI

The event you're referring to in the Azure AD Application Proxy Connector's Event Viewer indicates that the inactive connection detection mechanism has identified 4 inactive connections.

This is expected behavior and not necessarily a cause for concern. The Azure AD Application Proxy Connector regularly checks for inactive connections and reports them in the Event Viewer to help maintain the health and performance of the proxy service.

Inactive connections can occur for various reasons, such as network issues, application issues, or server problems.

If the Connector has detected inactive connections and is removing them. The inactive connections are tagged as "inactive" and are removed after 10 days of inactivity.

The connector will automatically handle these inactive connections and reclaim the associated resources, as long as this event is not occurring excessively or resulting in any performance issues, it can be considered normal operation If you notice any unusual activity or performance issues, it would be needed to investigate further

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.

    Thanks,

    Akhilesh.
