How to permanently change the format date in Excel from d-m-yyyy to m-d-yyyy?

Hi Guys,

I'm hoping that someone can assist me in resolving an issue with my Excel. I've already adjusted my PC's regional date format to (English, United States) in an attempt to change the date format in Excel from Day-Month-Year to Month-Day-Year. However, I've encountered a persistent problem where, no matter how I input the date as MONTH-DAY-YEAR, it consistently reverts back to DAY-MONTH-YEAR, which is not what I want. For instance, if I type 12-31, it automatically displays as 31-Dec. Can anyone provide a permanent solution to rectify this?

    Hi @Raven Sam,

    Select the column and right-click, select "Format Cells...", click "Custom" under Category and Type: "m-d-yyyy", click "OK" to save.
