You can enable email notifications for a variety of different events in Microsoft Q&A. Enabling mail notifications require 3 steps:

  1. Providing an email address for docs.microsoft.com notifications.

  2. Decide which notifications you would like to receive.

Providing an email address

Your profile in Microsoft Q&A is the same than docs.microsoft.com and Microsoft Learn. Therefore, if you want to get notifications, the first thing to do is provide an email address in your profile, as well as your country/region of residence. You could do that when you are creating your profile. Otherwise, you can also do it afterwards by following these steps:

  1. Go to your profile settings page.

  2. Scroll down to the “Manage email preferences” section.

  3. Provide the email address where you would like to receive notifications as well as your country/region of residence.

  4. Click “Save”.

Once you agreed on getting notifications from Microsoft, Q&A notifications are enabled and some default settings are enabled.
