Go to %username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Network\Connections\Pbk

check now by reconnect.
VPN connection prompts for credentials even if [Automatically use my Windows logon user name and password] enabled on 2004
Since installing the 2004 feature update attempting to start a VPN causes a prompt requiring password entry claiming that 'Username or Password are incorrect'. This is despite the credentials being saved in the advance options and remember credentials being selected in the virtual adapter.
It all worked perfectly before the update!
I understand from various forums that Microsoft is aware of this issue but there has been no resolution or further updates. Does anyone know when a fix is likely that does not involve a reinstallation?

2020-10-21T13:39:35.853+00:00 Same problem :(( Аfter update on version 2004. If VPN connection setup with password then it immediately prompt 'password incorrect', if VPN connection setup with smart card then it doesn't make request PIN and therefore connection with smart cards became impossible . Switching off Sign-in options doesn't help at all! Before then all works fine!

Thank you for posting in Q&A!
Based on my research, the following information might be helpful to you:
- Disable Automatic Device Setup Feature
Go to the Start menu and then click on the Accounts option> Sign-in options> turn off the "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update or restart" option> Reboot
2.Another workaround is described as removing the Microsoft account from the settings page and then creating a local user account.
Open Windows Search,Search for ‘Your account info’> Click on ‘Sign-in with a local account instead’
Once you’re signed in with a local account, reboot Windows> Go back to the ‘Your accounts info’ settings and reconnect your Microsoft account.
After a restart, the local user account can be changed to a Microsoft account. Then the login should work and the login data will be saved.============================================
