Hi
I have a problem, :-(

I have done a ADR Microsoft 365 Apps Update (Office365). It stops in 50% and I got the error messages

0x80200061(-2145386399)

SCCM has the latest 2006 with fixes,
Configuration Manager 2006 Hotfix (KB4576791)
Configuration Manager 2006 Hotfix (KB4580678)
Configuration Manager 2006 Hotfix (KB4584759)

I don't find any error in ruleengine.log

Please help me to solved that.

    Thank you for your feedback.
So your issue is in the client downloading process not the deployment process.
You may check DataTransferService.log and CAS.log in client for more details.
And make sure you have selected all the languages you are using for the Office updates:

    Hi All,

I have made progress on this issue by changing the two settings below,

1 - Client Settings > Disabling Branch Cache
2 - Client Settings > Allow BITS downloads outside the throttling window: Yes

After changing the above my compliance for M365 Updates deployed by Configuration Manager has shot right up :-)

    Thanks

Recently had a case open on this and was told its a known issue (but not written up yet). Key facts related to the known issue:

    • 0x80200061
    • AlternateHandler.log keeps repeating "timer cookie not recognized"
    • BITS is enabled
    • Language is en-us
    • UpdateToVersion in registry irrelevant, happens on fresh builds too
    • SCCM 2010 + KB4600089
    • On machines where this happens the files will eventually download but at deadline time instead of between available and deadline
    • Also this issue can have a cascade effect if there are other deployments trying to download on the same machine with O365, meaning the other deployments can be delayed too

engineer suggested turning off BITS but that is not possible for us

VERY curious if BITS is a common factor among others with this issue, please comment if your situation matches the above and whether you are using BITS or not.

    Hi All,

I am glad to see this is not just our environment.

Our O365 Client Updates are managed by MECM and for the last few months we have very low success due to error 0x80200061. It's not a language pack issue as all of the devices have the default "en-us".

We do not have registry key "UpdateToVersion" set either :-(

The odd thing is some devices do complete the update all be it very small numbers so that confirms the MECM process works.

Any ideas \ support would be great.

    Many Thanks

I am experiencing the same error code 0x80200061 when the O365 patches are applied during OS Deployment phase.
Tried language section changes in the ADR but no luck.

    Any other suggestions to try?

    Edit :

Never mind figured it out solution was ; correct language definement in the Office 365 ADR rule.
Re downloaded language patches and updated package on DP'es. Reran the TS and issue is solved

    Regards
