Hi guys,

Can I check I can publish a predefined DLP policy that uses in-built sensitive info types (e.g US Financial Data ) to all users in my tenant with combination of Office 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E3 licenses? Or does this only work with M365 E3 as mentioned in the article below:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/sensitive-information-type-entity-definitions?view=o365-worldwide

Thanks

    @Ali Pour Ebrahim DLP policies that uses the built in sensitive info types will work with Microsoft 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E5. It does not work with office 365 E3.
    You can compare the licenses under the purchase section of your admin portal or on M365 subscription page.

    @VipulSparsh-MSFT thank you for your comments.

    My client is already deployed some of these built in sensitive info types for all their users and they use both O365 E3 and M365 E3 licenses. Are you saying that that DLP policy is only works for users with M365 E3? and users with O365 E3 won't get that policy? The DLP matched reports shows otherwise hence I was asking this question

    @Ali Pour Ebrahim

    We are responsible for general issues about Office desktop applications.
    Since your issue is more related to DLP policy which is out of our scope of support and is not supported on Q&A forum currently. I would modify the tag to be “not-supported”.
    To better help you, I would suggest you to post your issue on the Microsoft answers forum with topic Microsoft 365 or Office 365 for admins.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Regards,
    Erin
