Download MEMCM 2107

Hello,

I have currently MEMCM 2103 + KB10036164 installed.
I started the download of MEMCM 2107 but it failed. When checking dmpdownloader.log it shows:

Generate a heartbeat to indicate that this component is not hung SMS_DMP_DOWNLOADER 8/25/2021 3:38:41 PM 12980 (0x32B4)

HasIntuneSubscription: Site has no Intune subscription. SMS_DMP_DOWNLOADER 8/25/2021 3:38:41 PM 12980 (0x32B4)

Download Admin UI content payload SMS_DMP_DOWNLOADER 8/25/2021 3:38:41 PM 17400 (0x43F8)
Get AdminUI content cab url SMS_DMP_DOWNLOADER 8/25/2021 3:38:41 PM 17400 (0x43F8)
The payload will be downloaded to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\AdminUIContentPayload\ConfigMgr.AdminUIContent.AUC SMS_DMP_DOWNLOADER 8/25/2021 3:38:41 PM 17400 (0x43F8)

Thanks for the answer but between the two URLs:

1. https://<sccm_site_server>/adminuicontent/ConfigMgr.AdminUIContent.cab
   &
2. https://configmgrbits.azureedge.net/adminuicontent/ConfigMgr.AdminUIContent.cab

1. is pointing our site server which we are managing already
2. is pointing to configmgrbits.azureedge.net which seems to be new and not accessible for us.

Does this mean that the Admin UI content (Configuration Manager Console) is hosted by a new server which should be accessible by configmgrbits.azureedge.net?
Could I download the cab file on another machine and then copy it to the Primary server for installation?

This is the message in your dmpdownloader.log in your original post:

Redirected to URL https://configmgrbits.azureedge.net/adminuicontent/ConfigMgr.AdminUIContent.cab SMS_DMP_DOWNLOADER 8/25/2021 3:38:41 PM 17400 (0x43F8)

Admin UI content is the Configuration Manager Console, you may try to access it manually to see how does it fail.

I check the thread you post last year, in that log, the message is:
Redirected to URL https://<sccm_site_server>/adminuicontent/ConfigMgr.AdminUIContent.cab
So the source to get AdminUIContent.cab is different.

I am working on fixing the URL configmgrbits.azureedge.net as it does not seem to be available...
What are the detailed reasons to get this URL in?
What is it used for?
What are the requisite for the firewall, proxy or other to allow this URL to be available?

I think this is the one I am trying to get the Cloud Team to set this connection but they want information for this request... I gave them https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/servers/deploy/configure/about-the-service-connection-point but they would like more details about the specific on configmgrbits.azureedge.net ...

What exactly is needed?
