Authenticator produces 8 digit instead of six digit verification code after I changed phone sim

Question

Authenticator produces 8 digit instead of six digit verification code after I changed phone sim, the key symbol above the email is gone too. I have tried this fix does not work. Please help cannot access crypto account.
