Hello,
As best I can tell should only work with Hyper-V, information on this is non-existent.
Windows 10 inherited activation not working
How can I get Inherited Activation to work. On my computer Windows is activated with Office 365 E3 subscription. Windows build is 1809. If I read https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/windows-10-subscription-activation document, I should create a VM and this VM should be activated.
I use VMware Workstation Pro for virtualisation software. My questions are:
which Windows source should I use? I tried with the source created with Media Creation Tool and Enterprise installation source from my volume license. Both do not activate.
Does inherted activation only work with Hyper-V or should it also work with VMware Workstation
Can someome help me with more information about Inherited Activation.

Microsoft 365 E3 does include rights to Windows Virtual Desktop, but that is a service hosted on Azure.
Looks like you need to configure VDA for Windows 10 Subscription Activation Requirements.
This document describes how to configure virtual machines (VMs) to enable Windows 10 Subscription Activation in a Windows Virtual Desktop Access (VDA) scenario.
