I just got authenticator app but can't log in on my phone

I just set up an authenticator app, but after scanning the QR code I never got a chance to create a screen lock access code. I don't know how to get into authenticator on my phone.

    Never mind...no one told me it's just the same as my phones screen lock code, and I entered it wrong the first time...
