Support for Windows 7 already ended and we never advise user to use unsupported version of Windows.
In the other hand, new applications are not supported in the Windows 7 and developers are shifting to support new version of Windows.
Therefore, we advise you to consider Windows 10 or Windows 11 and you may always share your idea using the Feedback Hub app to improve the Windows 10 or Windows 11.
windows 7 downgrade option using 10/11 request?
so after installing 10 then 7 then linux(3 different distros) then 10 then 11 on 3 seperate computers, im at 10 now since 11 was messing up over simplfying what i was working which was a an old mmorpg emu server, among other stuff gaming and programming related software
though i'd like 7 on all 3 systems even with legacy boot and what not 10 is imposing during installation or before or any point in time before getting an instiallation compelte through bios
10 forces users to stick with 10? or in my case there'd be a nice option to logically state somewhere or create an 'switch to windows 7' with warnings thats its unspported or whatever to allow users to use a desktop environment more usable for a desktop only user
im running through apps purging them as well as store since they seem to be made for mulitple devices rather than a desktop like windows 7 was thats the only use i got for my computers
what do you think?

2021-12-20T16:51:16.243+00:00 Hello @kenten
Windows 7 was a real gem to many users but the latest windows build was built on many latest technologies, the important one is DCH Design Principles.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/develop/dch-principles-best-practicesDriver packages that are DCH-compliant contain an INF file and binaries that install and run on Universal Windows Platform (UWP)-based editions of Windows 10. They also install and run on other editions of Windows 10 that share a common set of interfaces.
So jumping to Windows 7 might not be a good option as the specific end of support day for Windows 7 was January 14, 2020.
Hope this resolves your Query!!

2021-12-22T01:02:00.007+00:00 I guess to use the new software one has to abide by 10 and above,
though a "light" barebone versions of 10 would be a great release, like linux distros do,
I'd use a linux if i werent programming and 99% of pc games use Windows so I am stuck complaining about 10
7 can work even if its unsupported though with the new hardware with new computers there's too much you need to "trick"
depending what you're able to buy or whatnotI did actually get winxp to run a year ago with browser capability with time consuming update searches using google, without any windows updates other than manual installs, though the usb drive i stored this all on are wiped and gone =( I'd try that again sometime

or
Clean install Windows 10
