Hi,
We are trying to configure IP allocation to AOVPN client through DHCP Server, somehow its not working.
- There are 2 NIC in VPN servers. ( 1 internal NIC facing towards internal Network and 1 External facing towards internet)
- Enabled DHCP option in IPv4 properties of VPN Server
- Selected internal NIC for obtaining DHCP,DNS
- Added DHCP Server's IP address in DHCP Relay agent Properties
- Selected internal NIC in DHCP relay agent
- When tried to connect VPN client, getting error as "Error in assigning inner ip address to initiator in tunnel mode"
- From the Netmon trace, could see the DHCP discover started from Server from source address assigned to inernal NIC of VPN Server but no progress after that. Its not moving to DHCP Offer state...
- Feel that traffic is not reaching to DHCP Server for DHCP request but not able to trace further.
- Tried with assigning static IP from VPN Server itself and it works fine.
- Only DHCP IP allocation to VPN client is not working.
Pls suggest if anything is missed and appreciate any direction to fix the issue.
Regards
Mahesh

Welcome to our new Q&A platform.
May I know whether your VPN server's internal network interface and DHCP server are on the same subnet. If yes, you don't need to configure a DHCP relay agent.
Hope my answer will help you!
