Windows 10 update - how find out what is pending
new to 10 (Aug 18, 2020). very old from 95 thru 8.1 ;) I pause updates until just before patch Tuesday, but how can I find out what is pending. Looks like I just have to blindly open the gate. Not good.

2022-12-20T00:06:31.777+00:00 I do not see the status of any updates in Windows Update unless we are referring to the status of updates which are installing. That is not helpful. Here is an example. I do not want to install the 22H2 service pack but I clicked 'Check for Updates' and as soon as it found 22H2 it started downloading it. I postponed the update for as far out as I can in the hope that I can find a way to kill the install before it begins. I have two days left before it resumes. I should be able to go into setting and deselect the update and end the story there. That is not a feature. I cannot 'see' this pending update anywhere nor do I have any control over it. I suspect I will be able to remove the update after it installs but that should not be my only option. I can also turn off Windows Updates but that is also a poor option. Ideas?
