Blocking Error. Indicates that a condition prevented the component from installing. To determine whether you can fix the problem, review the error or message. You may need to rerun Setup after resolving some errors. To learn more about the blocking issue, refer to log files, which are discussed later in this topic. |

Notes
The following log files may provide information about errors.
Component Log file location Windows Server 2003
C:\Setuperr.log file, where C: is your root directory. This log file contains Setup errors and indicates the severity of errors.
Active Directory Installation Wizard
systemroot\Debug\Dcpromo.log.
Windows Server 2003 for Small Business Server Setup
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Integration\Microsoft Integration\Windows Server 2003 for Small Business Server\Logs\Errorlog.txt, where C: is your root directory.
The Application Log in Event Viewer may also provide information about errors. To open Event Viewer, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Event Viewer.
