Windows NT 4.0 backup domain controller prevents the domain from installing in native mode

Platí pro: Windows SBS 2003

Windows Small Business Server 2003 Setup cannot continue because a backup domain controller running Windows NT Server 4.0 was detected on the network. As a result, the domain cannot be switched from mixed mode to the Windows 2000 native functional level during Setup.

The domain needs to be set to the Windows 2000 native functional level to support Windows Small Business Server tools, as this enables Active Directory features such as universal groups and nested group membership. This functional level requires that all domain controllers in the domain be running Windows 2000 Server or Windows Server 2003.

To continue Setup, you must upgrade the backup domain controller to run Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 3 or later or Windows Server 2003, or you must remove it from the domain before completing Setup. After upgrading or removing the backup domain controller, click Check Again to refresh the list of Setup requirements.

Důležité

If you continue without upgrading, Setup cannot successfully install the Administration component of Server Tools, and the organizational units and groups created by this component will not be available.
