To configure Exchange to send e-mail to and receive e-mail from the Internet, click Enable Internet e-mail.

Click if you want Exchange to route Internet e-mail. The SmallBusiness Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) connector will be created to send e-mail from Exchange to the Internet. > [!IMPORTANT] > If you want to use the Microsoft Connector for POP3 Mailboxes to receive POP3 e-mail, click Enable Internet e-mail. The connector retrieves POP3 (Post Office Protocol 3) e-mail and sends outgoing e-mail using the SmallBusiness SMTP connector. > |
Disable Internet e-mail |
Click if you do not want to use Exchange for Internet e-mail. Advanced Options
To check the current settings of your Exchange connectors, click Start, and then click Server Management. In the console tree, double-click Advanced Management, double-click your Exchange server, and then double-click Connectors. In the details pane, right-click the connector, and then click Properties.
