Remove the following Windows components before upgrading

Platí pro: Windows SBS 2003

Windows Small Business Server 2003 Setup cannot continue because one or more of the following Windows components are installed:

  • Windows 2000 Administration Tools

  • Remote Storage

You must cancel Setup, remove all Windows components listed on the Setup Requirements page, and then restart Setup.

To remove Windows 2000 Administration Tools

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.

  2. Click Windows 2000 Administration Tools, and then click Remove.

    Poznámka

    When you are upgrading from Windows 2000 Server or Small Business Server 2000 with Service Pack 1, Setup may become blocked because of some entries left in the registry from a previous Windows 2000 Administration Tools installation. This can occur even if the Windows 2000 Administration Tools were uninstalled prior to upgrade.

  3. To unblock Setup, do the following:

    1. Open the following registry key:

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{B7298620-EAC6-11D1-8F87-0060082EA63E}

      Upozornění

      Incorrectly editing the registry may severely damage your system. Before making changes to the registry, you should back up any valued data on the computer.

    2. Ensure that there is not a value displayed for Display Name. If a value is displayed, the Windows 2000 Administration Tools were not successfully uninstalled, and you must repeat steps 1 and 2 to remove the Windows 2000 Administrations tools again.
