Ein Begleitgerät fungiert in Verbindung mit Ihrem Windows 10 für Desktopeditionen (Home, Pro, Enterprise und Education) oder Windows 10 Mobile Gerät, um die Benutzerauthentifizierung zu verbessern. Für instance kann ein Benutzer sein Begleitgerät über USB an den PC anschließen und den Fingerabdruckleser auf dem Begleitgerät berühren, wodurch sein PC automatisch entsperrt wird.
