Die ProfileManager -Klasse wird verwendet, um Profileinstellungen zu verwalten, nach Benutzerprofilen zu suchen und Benutzerprofile zu löschen, die nicht mehr verwendet werden. Standardmäßig ist das Benutzerprofil für alle ASP.NET Anwendungen deaktiviert. Um das Benutzerprofil zu aktivieren, legen Sie das enabled Attribut des Profilkonfigurationselements auf true fest, wie im folgenden Beispiel gezeigt.

Ein Profilanbieter wird verwendet, um Eigenschaften im Benutzerprofil zu speichern und abzurufen. Die .NET Framework enthält eine SqlProfileProvider Klasse, die Benutzerprofileigenschaften in einer SQL Server-Datenbank speichert. Eine SqlProfileProvider Instanz namens AspNetSqlProvider wird in der Computerkonfiguration als Standardprofilanbieter angegeben. Die AspNetSqlProvider -Instanz stellt eine Verbindung mit der SQL Server-Datenbank auf dem lokalen Webserver her.
