Pick items with serial numbers and lot numbers
Items that are registered with item tracking at the warehouse are to contain tracking information at the point of shipping.
You can set up the item tracking lines of items in outbound documents in two places:
Outbound document - When creating a sales order, the salesperson can select the serial numbers and lot numbers to ship to the customer. As a result, the warehouse document already contains the serial numbers and lot numbers to pick.
Warehouse document - If the outbound document doesn't contain item tracking information, the serial numbers and lot numbers must be assigned in the warehouse pick document.
