MSN Explorer: Turn Microsoft Phishing Filter on or off

Microsoft Phishing Filter is turned off by default. When you first install or upgrade MSN, you're automatically prompted to activate Phishing Filter. You can also activate or deactivate Phishing Filter by changing your phishing options.

To turn Phishing Filter on or off:

  1. Click the Help & Settings menu, and then click Settings.

  2. In the left pane, click Privacy & security.

  3. Click Phishing Filter settings.

  4. Select Turn off automatic website checking or Turn on automatic website checking.

  5. Click Save Changes.
