I have been able to add one shared mailbox as an Exchange account (to solve a searching issue) but the second shared mailbox keeps asking for a password and gives me the sign on error code below:

Error Code: 50058

Request Id: 0f28dd50-14e0-41b6-9a70-dd185b88ce00

Correlation Id: a9996544-c996-4c00-88aa-0cfd26c8587d

Timestamp: 2024-04-25T20:04:38.871Z

The user has full access to the shared box. There is no option to allow me to change the email address to the full access delegated account (when it asks for the password).

I tried clearing the stored credentials locally, and that did not work. Any suggestions on how to add this second account?

    Hi,

    1. According to your description, I conducted a test and the test results are as follows. When adding a second shared mailbox, when prompted for a password, select sign in with another account, and then enter your email address, not the email address of the shared mailbox. Restart Outlook after successful authentication.

    1. For exchange online accounts, use Outlook SARA to troubleshoot problems. For details, please refer to

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/about-the-microsoft-support-and-recovery-assistant-e90bb691-c2a7-4697-a94f-88836856c72f?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US#/?env=ExRCA

    1. It is recommended that others add two shared mailboxes for the same test and observe the results.
    2. After the first shared mailbox is successfully added, while keeping other settings unchanged, use a second shared mailbox different from the previous one, then add it to the exchange account, and see the results of the test.

The adding of a shared mailbox as an Exchange account was resolved by resetting the PC and keeping the personal files. Thanks for your help.
