Data mining was deprecated in SQL Server 2017 Analysis Services and now discontinued in SQL Server 2022 Analysis Services. Documentation is not updated for deprecated and discontinued features. To learn more, see Analysis Services backward compatibility.
The data mining features in Microsoft SQL Server SQL Server Analysis Services comply with the Microsoft OLE DB for Data Mining 1.0 specification released in June 2000.
SQL Server Analysis Services has extended the specification by adding new schema rowsets, adding columns to existing schema rowsets, and adding syntax to the Data Mining Extensions (DMX) language for creating and managing mining structures.
