I am attempting to modify my Display name (to simply omit my middle name). As suggested, I tried via the profile settings, but but keep receiving the message: ‘Something went wrong, please try again.’
Tried clearing the browsing cache and closing the web browser (Edge)...without success. Tried also on Google Chrome with similar result.

Im sharing my experienced , For microsoft account im using explorer instead of chrome or edge.Maybe some of application we can use edge to get our MCP ID for learning.About display name,try acess using explorer log in your account , view profile , u can find and edit your Display name what u want.Im doing this way untill today there is no issue.. thanks and hope this will help you...happy new year 2021 to all of you .
We had some issues with profile updates. The issue is now fixed. I am sorry for the trouble.
