How can I migrate my Technet forums account into a Q&A account?

I have a well reputed account on the TechNet forums. As I could read on https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/home?forum=win10itprosecurity , "The following forum(s) are migrating to a new home on Microsoft Q&A: All English Windows 10 IT Pro forums! Ask new questions on Microsoft Q&A." Is it possible to keep one's account? I was signing up to TechNet with my old windows live ID and I see no way to sign in to MS Q&A with a live ID, so I am stuck. Please help me out.

[I had to select some tag, so please excuse that windows server has nothing to do with my feedback]

No, it isn't. There's been some talk of displaying the reputation points, etc. from MSDN account here but nothing yet and I suspect it would never happen due to the complexity of validating the accounts.

I found out that my chromium based Edge was so full of Microsoft accounts (4) that were created for various purposes, that it wasn't able to let me use the right one. In other words, it let me select to use a certain mail, but wouldn't accept the password for it (there was another account with the same mail associated that has a different password). Now that I have (saved&) deleted the saved account credentials for that other account, I am able to logon with that old Windows LiveID, so yes, it's possible after all.

The new service will allow users to follow posts, tags or people to get information; provide suggested answers as users type their questions; and the ability to bookmark content for future reference. Q&A uses the same user authentication as Microsoft Docs and Learn. Experts will earn Reputation Points for answers they provide.
