Hello,

I have some computers that updated to 2004 and now one that updated 20H2 that are experiencing a black screen with mouse after login. I can't bring up task manager with CTRL-ALT-DEL. if there computer is onsite and connected to the domain network it logs in fine. I disconnect it from the network it will not login. We are currently doing a network login to connect to the company VPN then login to the computer so the domain is available. I do not see this behavior on update 1909 or below.

Any help trouble shooting this would be helpful.

Thanks

    Hi All

I just figured this out. The problem was with our Folder Redirection Policies. When that was disabled and we ran gpupdate, it began working normally.

    Hi All

Same EXACT issue. Moved users to OU without GPO's and still same problem. The only GPO in others OU's is Folder Redirection. Any help would be apreciated.

I have the same issue after upgrade the client workstations to Windows 10. But the problems seems go away after I removed Folder Re-Direction Group from the Member list.
