Rebranding apps on Microsoft Store

Hello,   We are in the process of rebranding our applications and we need to update also the company publisher name.   This is due to the fact that the company was acquired by another company and we need to change all the references in our applications that are visible to the end users.   Ideally, the changes that we make should be transparent to our users and should be seen as an update to the current released apps.   What are our options?
Can we change the company identification without affecting the current apps?
If we change the Publisher display name (Company name), we also need to change that property in the current submissions? Will this be seen as a simple update from the customer side (the apps users)?
Is it possible to transfer the current apps to a different Microsoft Partner Center account? What are the implications?   Thank you!

    Hi @Liviu Dumitrescu ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

Can we change the company identification without affecting the current apps?
If we change the Publisher display name (Company name), we also need to change that property in the current submissions? Will this be seen as a simple update from the customer side (the apps users)?

The current submission that has been submitted to the store cannot be modified, it is read-only. If you change your publisher display name your account will undergo an additional review, and you'll need to re-package and re-submit your apps with the new name.

    1. In the upper-right, select Settings (gear icon) and then the Account settings workspace.
    2. Under Organization Profile, select Legal info.
    3. Update your Contact info.

Is it possible to transfer the current apps to a different Microsoft Partner Center account? What are the implications?

Yes, it is recommended to refer to this document Merge your partner account with another partner account.

    Thank you.
