In most cases, you should not merge checkpoints manually. You are supposed to use Hyper-V Manager, select the virtual machine in question, and use the checkpoint manager to either revert or remove checkpoints. That will ensure you merge them properly according to the checkpoints chain and do not mess up anything. hyper-v disk merge fail
Hi,
I have hyper-v manager that installed server 2019. I backup vm via synology backup agent. There are some ,avhdx file. I merged some upto parent. Finally there is one .avhdx file and when ı merge manually in hyper-v manager inspect disk menu, I see this fail.
Who can help me for this situation?

According to the error message, please check to see which process is using the avhdx file. Run Process Explorer as administrator, select "Find" - "Find Handle or DLL..." and input the avhdx file path. The Process Explorer can be downloaded via this page.
