Can pictures on OneDrive show in the (Samsung) Gallery app on Android?

Is it possible to have pictures in OneDrive show up in the Samsung/Android Gallery app?

I have a Samsung S8 tablet and a S23 Ultra phone and I'm looking for the easiest way to share my photos (for editing) between those two devices and also a Win11 (home) PC.

The reason I ask this is because a lot of Android apps (Photo Director, Lightroom mobile etc) don't seem to be easily able to work on files that are not in Gallery app.

I have OneDrive set to always-download my transfer folder in OneDrive but even Lightroom mobile can't seem to find the pics in it, even after browsing. PhotoDirector is much the same

I have the same headache on both Android devices.

I do not store these files in albums, I just have a folder that I copy files into on any device but the Samsung's simply cannot see the files from within a ton of apps.

Pulling my hair out :-(
