Authenticator app is requesting a code from the app itself

I'm the admin and I cleared my computer's cache and it asked me to log in again to my professional account. Once I entered the email and password, it told me to write a code in the authentication app, but the app does not give me any option to enter the digit of two numbers, in fact it asks me to enter my account and from the same app it asks me to enter the two-digit code in the app, which has no sense.

If your authentication app isn't working as expected, see if there's an alternative authentication method available, such as receiving a code via SMS or email. This can help you bypass the issue temporarily until you can resolve it with the authenticator app.

Ensure that both the authentication app and your professional account's login system are up-to-date. Sometimes, bugs or compatibility issues can be resolved by updating the software.

That's the problem, it doesn't give me any verification option other than the two-digit code or the six-digit code from the app.

Nicolas, if you have the mobile device with Authenticator app installed add the "work or school account" - Follow the instruction here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/add-your-work-or-school-account-to-the-microsoft-authenticator-app-43a73ab5-b4e8-446d-9e54-2a4cb8e4e93c. Once the Authenticator app is enabled, on MFA request , you can see a request notification on your device , click on it and enter the two digits which you see in your computer screen to complete authentication.
