Would anyone know how I would get a direct link for a SharePoint Image to deploy a picture via Intune.

Hello there,

I just stumbled upon a problem, I need to deploy a set wallpaper via Intune and the image coming from SharePoint, I can't seem to get a direct link to the picture from SharePoint. I was wondering if anyone had a way to get a direct link.

What have I tried already:

So, I followed this setup config (https://msendpointmgr.com/2021/02/02/manage-desktop-wallpaper-with-microsoft-intune/) to deploy the policy via Intune I got the policy working but having trouble with SharePoint link (which is required for the desktop URL for the policy. As we don't use Azure Storage (blob containers).

And I tested the policy just to be sure with a random picture that hosted publicly on the web, and it worked fine. But just going through SharePoint it does not like it.

I also tried creating a share link and giving anyone access with edit rights, that didn't work.

And also tried this way too (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/getting-a-public-direct-link-to-an-image-file/27872a0b-e8a3-453d-8090-bca48738006f)

To get a direct link path, which also didn't work, and asked for authentication. Would know how this would be possible, or if not?

Thanks in advance.

To deploy a set wallpaper via Intune, you should put picture on the public location or Azure Storage.

Files stored on the SharePoint all have permissions and they are private. It is necessary to verify whether the account has permissions for files through different interface API.

So, it is not available to deploy a set wallpaper via Intune by using the picture stored on the SharePoint.
