I cannot log into authenticator as i require a non-accessible authenticator to re register the new device

I have recently had to reinstall the iOS device that had the sole authenticator for my account. To access any Microsoft drives i require the use of the authenticator, however I can no longer access this. When I try to re-link my authenticator to my device, it requires the old installed Microsoft account to authenticate, which of course i can no longer access.
How can I re-attach authenticator to my account, or reregister my device?
