Hello,

I would like to ask about the possibility to create a shortcut for the Eyedroper tool in PPT.

What would also be a big step forward would be to include the option to customize shortcuts in the program.

I am used to Adobe programs where the shortcut system is much more sofisticated and advanced and am really missing similar options hard in PPT.

I am aware of the option to call any tool using Alt key but that is not working really well, considering that many of the shortcuts require more then 4 keys to be called before you reach the tool.

Is this expectable in the near future? Has Microsoft the intention to work on this?

Thanks in aedvance for your reply.

Sebastian

    Hi @Janota, Sebastian

Please refer to John Korchok's reply.

For customizing/creating shortcut keys in PowerPoint, you may vote up following threads in Microsoft Feedback Forum:

    Add option to Keyboard shortcuts

Customization of the shortcut keys needed

But we have not resources to tell you Microsoft planned features or the dates that we expect these features to be released.

    Thanks for your understanding.

PowerPoint doesn't have the ability to create custom keyboard shortcuts, though there is a paid add-in out there that will do this.

Assuming you are using PowerPoint for Windows, you can add commands to the Quick Access Toolbar. When you do that, the commands gain a shortcut based on their position. The 5th command will run with Alt + 5. Please post again if you need help with adding commands to the QAT.
