Currently I use VS Code for "Remote Development using SSH" as described here : https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/remote/ssh
Does VS2019 support the same ?

I managed to get version 1.61.2 to work on my Mac

TBH, I needed to just get to work and just scp'd the stuff over for my dotnet project, and reverted to pycharm for the python ones. As much as it annoys me, pycharm handles the deployments/remote work really well. Even though pycharm is a resource hog, the ease of managing deployments more than makes up for it.
