I can't sign in (authenticator app)

I have to use the two-step verification method to sign in to my university’s email account, but when I open the athenticator app and try to do this, this message appears: “Open your Microsoft Authenticator app and approve the request to sign in“.

What do I do?

It needs to be setup first.

Not a lot to go on but you may need to set it up again. You could try "sign in another way"
