Probably a very common problem.

I wish to use the Bing Search API, as advertised here.

Following the documentation, I'm supposed to be able to simply create a Bing Search resource.

However when I do, I'm greeted with an inability to select pricing tier, and an error stating that my subscription is not registered to create resources for the selected resource type,

This is despite the fact that my subscription has Microsoft.Bing enabled,

Am I missing resource providers? Why does the official documentation seemingly not work?

Hello everyone, I do seem to have figured out the answer (at least for me).

It seems that when I am using a VPN, I get this error. I use a VPN at most times, but occasionally have to turn it off, which is why this problem disappeared from me, for seemingly no reason.

I really wish Microsoft would not 'partially' block my VPN, or at the very least add some proper error messages.

    Hope this helps!

Unfortunately I have the same error! Would love to know if there's a resolution?

I also tried Unregistering and Registering the provider.
