Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I upgraded from a version of Windows 10 to a version of Windows 10 Home 20H2 two years ago. Yellow warning triangles appeared in Device Manager and I assumed they were due to a driver update issue. Windows 10 Home 20H2 / 21H1 / 21H2 and Windows security updates have worked well. I downloaded two KB updates during the Windows 20H2 updates because it was mentioned that they should be that the updates come automatically after that, but the drivers didn't seem to be updating and the yellow attention triangles were still in Device Manager.
That's when I downloaded this Group Policy Management Console. I don't remember where I downloaded it from Microsoft. It is apparently intended for businesses as an application that allows updates to be collected and programmed to run centrally during quieter times, such as at night. When I installed the program, the questions about the updates made me think that this is probably not the right application to download. I think I deleted it, but I don't remember how and I don't remember how far I answered the questions and saved the answers during the installation. I did not download this program to collect updates for later download, but I thought some program needed to be downloaded to update the drivers.
I remember an icon popping up with a red briefcase on top of Event Viewer indicating that action was needed. I couldn’t find a reason for it to appear, so I changed the settings so it didn’t show it anymore. The intention was to find out the reason later, but I forgot the whole thing. I don't even know if this is related to this program.
I have still tried to find a solution to the upgrade problems, but I probably still have this program because in early 2022 I found the C: Windows / WSUS folder. Now this WSUS folder is gone, but there is a C: Windows / WaaS folder with content from 7/12/2019 to 19/03/2022.
At the end of March, I updated the drivers and cleaned my machine with IObit. The program deleted a lot of files. I got at least part of it back. The following files were recovered
C: The Windows / Logs / waasmedic folder is full of etl files
C: The Windows / System32 / GroupPolicy folder, but it is quite empty
C: The Program Files / Microsort Update Health Tools folder contains expediteupdater.exe and uhssvc.exe
A lot of GroupPolicyManagement, Waas, waasmedic, wsus files appeared under the C folder.
I don't know if these are related to this program.
My problem is.
Probably my original problem wasn’t even related to the upgrade issues. New updates and new BIOS for Windows 10 should have been downloaded from the device manufacturer's website. I had assumed they would come automatically through Windows Update. I'm not sure if the Group Policy Management Console is somehow preventing updates from occurring because some device manufacturer updates are still not being updated. Because with IObit, when I updated the drivers to the latest ones and cleaned up a lot of unnecessary files, some of the hardware manufacturer’s OEM updates that were missed were now updated after two years, but some still didn’t update. I was also instructed to perform a cold boot on Alt + F10 from the device manufacturer's factory settings, but I read somewhere that when I have the original version of the device in Windows 8, when that version no longer exists, I should contact Microsoft support before downloading the factory settings. I'm not sure if this is the correct information. And should this program be uninstalled first before even trying to resolve driver updates.
I have tried to read information from the sites that I would solve the problem myself, but my own skills are not enough to solve this problem. My operating system is in Finnish, so the support service couldn't help remotely via a shared screen. So now I need some advice on what to do to solve this problem.
My current version of Windows is Windows 10 Home 21H2
Consolidated operating system version: 19044.1620

Thank you. The link found instructions on how to download the installer to an external drive. It needs an 8 GB USB stick that needs to be purchased, the old ones are too small. I'll let you know later when I get the stick if it managed to remove the program. In the meantime, I will try to restore the factory settings when suggested to fix errors in Device Manager. I don't know if it could remove the remaining parts of these programs at the same time.
