Hi,

Teams addin Outlook. (Office version is Office 365 business).
Mail box is our own domain.
When initate a meeting from teams, it give error, "user account in Outlook and Teams do not match". Is there any configuration to check on this issue?
Understood if add microsoft build-in outlook could fix this issue.

It had been working fine untill today I uncheck Team Meeting add-in and check again on option of Outlook configuration.

I'm hearing from previously affected users that this is no longer an issue for them this morning (Friday 13). Can others please confirm?

    Hello,

We have Azure AD completely separated from our on-premise AD / Exchange servers (not even an hybrid-setup, nothing is synchronized).

We manually create users in Azure AD with @Company portal .onmicrosoft.fr. These accounts are only used for MS Teams.
On-premise, users have a @Company portal .com email address.

Up until recently, we had no issue with creating meeting from Outlook in Teams.

Now, some users are facing with "The user account in Outlook and Teams do not match. Please make sure you are signed in to both application with the same user name and privileges"

The issue is seen only by a handful of people right now, but I fear more and more users will be impacted.

    Thank you.

    --- Edit 1:
Users affected are on Outlook 2016 or Outlook 2019, with Teams 1.5.00.11163 (64 bits)

A user not affected is using Teams 1.5.00.9163 (64 bits)

    ---- Edit 2:
Found a workaround : it works if I go to the Azure AD user profile, and change the User Principal Name (UPN) from xxx@Company portal .onmicrosoft.fr to xxx@Company portal .fr
Note that contoso.fr need to be added as a custom domain first.
User need to disconnect and reconnect.

But this is not something we want, we like having two clearly separated accounts (@consoto.com on-premise, @Company portal .onmicrosoft.fr for Teams) as it helps differentiate accounts/password for our users.

Those affected, do you have automatic updates disabled in office?

I have this theory that if Teams version auto-updates to the latest, while Office remains on some old version, such as 2008, there may be some compatibility issues between the two. If so try updating office to something newer such as 2202.

This may also explain why some users are affected while others are not. Teams may not have yet updated for everyone.
