This seems to be a common issue. The reason may be that one of the top row buttons is stuck in a pressed down position (F1-F12, PrintScreen, ScrollLockm, Pause...). Those buttons are poorly designed and it may not even be visible that one of them is stuck, it may be just a bit tilted. If you have this issue, try checking and unstucking.
Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard Turns off itself
Symptoms. Microsoft Sculpt Keyboard turns off itself after few seconds of inactivity. Mouse remains working no issues with the mouse.
Troubleshooting already tried: Changed batteries, turned off the power saving feature on all usb and hid input devices to see if that may be an issue. Nothing worked.
Connected to different pcs laptop and desktop with different OS versions as well problem remains the same.
Typing this question with the problematic keyboard.
Seems like a hardware issue Checked the warranty booklet it says standard warranty is 3 years but I have lost my receipt of purchase. I still have the keyboard box and its packings.
Please guide me what else I can try or how can i claim this under warranty.
