You're Invited... Hartford SQL Server User’s Group April 7th 2010 Title: Cloud Computing with SQL Azure Abstract: SQL Azure is Microsoft’s cloud database service offering. Cloud-based database solutions such as SQL Azure can provide many benefits, including rapid provisioning, cost-effective scalability, high availability, and reduced management overhead. In this presentation we will cover an architectural overview of SQL Azure and describe how you can use SQL Azure to augment your existing on-premises data infrastructure or as a complete database solution. We will walk through a live demo on creating a cloud based SQL Azure application. Other issues around cloud based computing including security and database maintenance will be discussed.
